Karen is a Chaplain for Volunteers of America, and she is a Healthcare Chaplain in training at Peace Health Hospital. They have 4 grown daughters and 7 grand children.

In his own words:

When you give your life to Christ you begin an incredible adventure that will take you places that are hard to imagine at the start. My journey has lead me to serve The Lord by serving His children in prisons, jails, hospitals, emergency rooms, veteran centers, clinics, State Psychiatric Wards, homeless shelters and under bridges.

Gods love is a call to action, but where to begin?

Philippians 4: 8 gives us a direction to focus our hearts and minds…
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

And Galatians 5: 22-23 gives us a glimpse of what this focus will produce in our life…”But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
